laguna beach hotel & Spa

Laguna Beach Resort is situated in the typical fisherman village of Grand Riviere South East. The renovation and extension of the Laguna Beach Resort started in 2007 and was completed in 2009. The project consists of a main hotel block comprising of 34 bedrooms and a new block with 20 new spacious bedrooms. All the rooms have a view on the sea.

The design concept of the hotel was inspired from the local fisherman village with the use of local raw materials such as Roterman net, weaved hats as décor and crafted rattan fabric and bamboo as hangers for the wardrobe.

The project had predominant use of raw materials and construction techniques as developed by fisherman for the construction of their houses, nets and boats. The result is a harmonious balance between the clean, contemporary lines of the architecture and the soothing tones and textures of the internal and external finishes.
